This Bet Settlement Policy governs how wagers placed on the DesiBet platform are graded, settled, corrected, or voided. By placing a bet on DesiBet, the user expressly agrees to be bound by the terms outlined herein, in addition to the DesiBet Terms of Service.
1.1
All bets are settled strictly in accordance with the official result issued by the recognized match organizer, competition authority, or governing football body.
1.2
For settlement purposes, the first official result declared at the end of regulation time is considered final, even if the organizing body later amends or corrects the result.
1.3
Bet settlement typically occurs within 24 hours following the conclusion of the event; however, DesiBet may take additional time where verification, investigation, or system checks are required.
1.4
Where conflicting or unclear information arises, DesiBet reserves the right to rely exclusively on the official ruling of the competition authority.
2.1
A bet is valid only when it has been successfully registered, timestamped, and confirmed by the DesiBet system.
2.2
Once a bet is accepted and confirmed, it cannot be cancelled, altered, or amended by the user under any circumstances.
2.3
Bets placed after the official start time of a match will be voided, unless live/in-play betting is officially offered by DesiBet at the time of placement.
3.1
If a grassroots or local football match is cancelled or postponed and not played within 48 hours, all associated bets will be voided and the original stake refunded.
3.2
If the match is rescheduled and played within the 48-hour window, the bet remains valid and will be settled based on the rescheduled fixture.
3.3
If a match is abandoned after kickoff:
Where the organizing body declares an official result, all bets shall be settled according to that ruling.
Where the match is declared void, null, or replayed, all bets on the event shall be cancelled and stakes refunded.
4.1
DesiBet employs industry-standard systems and controls to ensure accurate bet settlement. However, errors may occur due to incorrect odds, technical malfunctions, data-feed disruptions, transmission failures, or human input mistakes.
4.2
In the event of any such error, DesiBet reserves the absolute and unrestricted right to:
Correct the settlement and recalculate winnings using the accurate and intended odds; or
Void the affected bet(s) and refund the original stake.
4.3
Under no circumstances shall DesiBet be liable to pay winnings derived from incorrect, erroneous, or malfunctioning odds. Only the corrected settlement or refunded stake shall apply.
4.4
Where users have acted upon obvious pricing errors or technical malfunctions, DesiBet may reverse settlements, withhold winnings, or void bets in accordance with the DesiBet Terms of Service (Clause 7 and Clause 8).
5.1
For specific grassroots markets—such as local cup finals, aggregate score markets, extra time, or penalty shootouts—custom settlement rules may apply and will be clearly displayed prior to bet placement.
5.2
Unless expressly stated otherwise, all bets are settled on regular time only (90 minutes) and do not include extra time or penalty shootouts.
6.1
A voided bet results in a full return of the stake to the user’s betting wallet.
6.2
Where a voided selection forms part of a multiple or accumulator bet, that selection shall be treated as 1.00 odds (neutral), and the remaining selections shall continue to stand.
7.1
DesiBet reserves the right to delay settlement, suspend bets, withhold winnings, or void selections where fraudulent, abusive, or irregular activity is suspected, including but not limited to:
Match-fixing or insider betting
Betting syndicates or coordinated wagering
Advantage play or exploitation of system errors
Use of multiple accounts to influence betting outcomes
7.2
Where fraudulent or abusive activity is confirmed, DesiBet may suspend or permanently terminate the affected account in accordance with the Terms of Service.
8.1
All settlement decisions made by DesiBet are final and binding, subject to compliance with the regulations of the Ogun State Inland Revenue Service (OGIRS).
8.2
Users who disagree with a settlement decision must first contact DesiBet Support. If unresolved, complaints may be escalated to OGIRS.
9.1
To promote responsible gambling, manage operational risk, and ensure platform sustainability, DesiBet applies limits to stake amounts and potential winnings.
9.2 Maximum Winnings
Regardless of odds, market type, or total stake amount, the maximum winning per bet or bet slip shall not exceed ₦50,000.
Any calculated winnings above this limit shall be automatically capped at ₦50,000 during settlement.
9.3 Stake Limits
The maximum stake for a single (straight) bet is ₦5,000.
The maximum total stake for a multiple/accumulator bet is ₦10,000.
Bets placed above these limits may be rejected, adjusted, or voided at DesiBet’s discretion.
9.4
These limits apply regardless of any provisional balance, system display, or odds calculation shown before final settlement.
9.5 Right to Amend Limits
DesiBet reserves the right to review, increase, reduce, or modify stake and winning limits at any time as the company grows, operations expand, or regulatory requirements evolve. Any such changes shall take effect immediately upon publication on the DesiBet platform.
